CHECHEN – Metopium brownei – Anacardiaceae – Folhosa (Hardwood)

Também conhecida como black poisonwood ou caribbean rosewood. Ocorre no México e América Central. Em instrumentos musicais é utilizada para baterias. Obs.: a serragem pode causar dermatite ou problemas respiratórios.
